She previously completed her Bachelor of Music Performance (Classical Voice) with full scholarship support . Before beginning her formal studies at the Conservatorium, Leah was recognised with Encore Nominations for both Music 2 and Music Extension, and was the recipient of the Zonta International Women’s Day for Performing Arts Award.

Leah’s recent performance highlights include appearances in the SCM Lunchbreak Concert Series, Art Song Concert, Con Lieder Series, Opera’s Heroes and Villains, Croydon Crescendo Concert Series, Liederfest, the SCC Whitacre and Hindson Wind Symphony Concert, and Haydn’s Nelson Mass with the Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in Don Giovanni with Concordia Ensemble, portrayed Mrs Waa in Parrwang Lifts the Sky – an all-Australian opera by Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO – and played the dual roles of Mrs Hatch and Violet in the stage adaption of It’s a Wonderful Life.

Leah has continually deepened her artistry through masterclasses with highly respected musicians, including Dr Francis Greep, Catriona Morrison, Professor Michael Halliwell, Brian Castles-Onion, Stephen Layton, and Graham Johnson OBE. These experiences have played a key role in shaping her vocal technique, interpretative insight, and professional development.

Passionate about making classical music more accessible to younger audiences, Leah recently co-developed and performed in Storia Di Melodie, a touring schools program and ensemble designed to bring opera to life in an engaging and playful format. The project was met with enthusiastic praise from both educators and parents for its creativity and impact.

beginnings…

Leah grew up on the east coast of New South Wales, immersed in the natural beauty of Australia’s oceans and forests. Her childhood was filled with adventurous expeditions, inspired by her parents’ passion for exploration and scuba diving. Yet, amidst these wild landscapes, Leah discovered a different calling—one rooted in storytelling, music, and the performing arts.

A dedicated performer from a young age, she took part in numerous community plays, musicals, concerts, and eisteddfods. She began piano lessons at five, added classical singing at eleven, and by thirteen had expanded her training to include guitar and drama. These early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for artistic expression, ultimately shaping her path toward a career in opera. Leah plans to continue her studies overseas after completing her Master of Music (Opera Performance), as she pursues her goal of becoming a professional opera artist.
